I went to Kroger today. I wanted some delicious chicken salad which, apparently, is harder to find than a black leprechaun. Whilst inquiring about the ridiculous shortage of said chicken salad, I ended up exchanging delightful conversation with the employees at the bakery. I then came across a cake, priced at $3.49, less than half of it’s normal price, because it was reaching the end of what Kroger deems its shelf life; it was to be euthanized in less than 24 hours. Since I am, in fact, part Snorlax and take no issue with eating things like sand and toxic waste, I rescued the delicious cake right away. Delicious cake is delicious, and I must eat it. Cassandra, the young lady at the bakery with whom most of my exchange took place, fancied our conversation so much that she offered to decorate my cake for me before I left. It’s just awesome. Happy Thursday everyone!
