Buzz and Woody on a bad day.
So… First ten minutes of Toy Story 3… The toys are worried about being thrown away or shoved in the attic and never played with again. Legitimate fear for average toys, but not so much a problem for sentient toys.
Honestly, if they would just show Andy that they could, you know, walk, talk and solve complex problems presented by the limitations of being a toy, I don’t think being thrown away would be an issue any longer.
Think about it: if the toys in Toy Story are any model to go off of, then your old toys love you and care about you just as much, if not more so, than your best friends. What if they showed you that? Would you really be able to throw them away or shove them in the attic after that? Your toys would love you unconditionally, forever.
